Announcing the 2015–2016 Science on Screen Grant Recipients

In September 2015, the Coolidge Corner Theatre and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation selected 23 independent non-profit cinemas from across the country to receive grants of up to $8,500 each to implement Science on Screen programs at their theaters.

2015 grantees are required to implement at least three Science on Screen programs over the course of the grant period (September 15, 2015 – July 15, 2016). A major criterion in determining grant recipients is their ability to play a significant role in the cultural life of their communities.  The 2015 selected recipients have all demonstrated a successful track record of building strong community partnerships and producing creative, thought-provoking film programs that both educate and entertain audiences.
