Our mission

The Eureka Concert & Film Center is dedicated to the education of the general public in film, theater, music, and other art forms, rehabilitating and maintaining its historic facilities for instruction and public performances, displays, exhibits, and other events.

About our theater

Built in 1939, the Eureka Theater served as a symbol of hope towards the end of the depression. Following more than 50 years of entertainment, the theater closed in 1996. In 2009, the volunteer-based organization Eureka Concert & Film Center reopened the theater’s doors to the community. The theater was added to the National Register of Historic Places January 9th, 2010. The goal of the Eureka Concert & Film Center is to bring the Eureka Theater back to its original Streamline Moderne state at the time of its opening in 1939. The theater fundraises by hosting a variety of events for the community, ranging from classic and local movie screenings and live entertainment to group meetings and other community events. The theater has a single screen, with a seating capacity of 886.
